O'Kelly School Science Fair & Western Manitoba Science Fair

Science Fair

O'Kelly's scientists have been hard at work exploring their world and have much to be proud of!

On Monday, February 26, 2025, the O'Kelly gym was home to the annual Science Fair/Expo-Science. Judges spent the morning learning from 15 students who completed 12 different projects.  The afternoon was filled with public viewing and visits from O'Kelly classrooms. All of our Panthers did amazing work! A total of three Gold, four Silver, and two Bronze medals were awarded to students.  The Gold and Silver medal winning projects were invited to represent O'Kelly at the 2025 Western Manitoba Science Fair.

From our Science Fair/Expo-Science, the nine students who earned the spots to represent O'Kelly at the Western Manitoba Science Fair spent the day at the BU Healthy Living Centre on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 . Their seven projects were shared with judges, community members, and scientists from other schools throughout the day. Students also participated on various activities, including tours of the BU Science Department and a variety of challenges during this year's Science Olympics. Our tallest scientist was also briefly caught in a large bubble during The Bubble Man's lunch time show. O'Kelly students Ella and Quinn brought home a Bronze medal for their project "Chill Out!".

Congratulations to all of O'Kelly's scientists!  We'll see you next February at the Science Fair/|Expo-Science 2026!1-5.png2-10.png3-6.png
