Author Visits J.R. Reid School! David A Robertson

David A. Robertson, author of The Barren Grounds came to J. R. Reid school to speak to Mrs. Gallagher and Mrs. Thiessen's Grade 5/6 classes about his writing journey, how he incorporates Indigenous culture into his writing and he also spoke about his books, including The Barren Grounds, from The Misewa Saga and On The Trapline. David is an Indigenous author and lives in Winnipeg, MB and is a member of Norway House Cree Nation. David is a two-time Governor General's Literary Award winner and has won the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award and the Writer's Union of Canada Freedom to Read award.  Thank you for coming to our school David!
