Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (November 2026)
November is recognized annually as Indigenous Disability Awareness Month, an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Indigenous people living with disabilities.
Recognized in Manitoba and across Canada, the month highlights the valuable contributions Indigenous people with disabilities make to their communities, including socially, economically and culturally. It also raises awareness of the unique barriers they may face and the importance of creating accessible, inclusive communities where everyone can participate and thrive.
